A teenage couple, Sam and Kadija, must go on trial for breaking the new "Anything Goes If You Associate With Those" act, which is aimed at keeping people from fraternizing with others outside their ethnic group. When the court proceedings are interrupted by the tragic news of their teacher's death, the bigoted judge is forced to reveal a shocking secret. Accompanied by ballad and rap, a community is left to wonder how it will recover from another tragedy born of hate and fear -- will they finally learn their lesson?
