A love story and a vision quest honoring the Day of the Dead provide the backdrop for this exhilarating play told through shadow puppets. Set in an early California mission, a young monk named Encarnacion is about to be sent off to officially begin his studies. He is shocked
when a skeleton pops out of his body and leads him through a series of fantastic adventures that help him come to terms with both his past and his future.
(This play can also be performed as part of the full-length play California Scenarios.)
Note: This version of The Seven Visions of Encarnacion is an excerpt of a longer play.
